"THE ORANGE STORY" Extras Casting Call
On Thursday, April 28th, 2016, "The Orange Story" is shooting its grand finale, and we need your help! We're recreating "Evacuation Day", when more than 100,000 men, women, and children of Japanese descent were sent to incarceration camps across the United States. To represent this historic injustice, we need extras to attend our shoot at a transportation depot. Extras are not paid, but we will provide lunch, snacks throughout the shoot, transportation to and from the location (TBA), and credit in the film.
WHAT WE NEED:
- 50-60 volunteers (Japanese or East Asian descent, all ages, men, women and children)
- 10-15 volunteers (Caucasian, all ages, men, women and children)
- no acting experience necessary
Extras should arrive at the Midwest Buddhist Temple (435 W Menomonee St, Chicago, IL 60614) at 7:00am on April 28th, and will be transported to the shoot location from there. You will arrive back at the temple around 7:30pm. If the shoot is cancelled due to rain, we will film on the following day (Friday the 29th) instead.
If you are interested in acting as an extra, please fill out the form below, and we will get in touch with you. Direct all questions to Ray Goldberg (firstname.lastname@example.org). Thank you for helping "The Orange Story" become a reality!
