Fiscal sponsorship is a formal arrangement between a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and mission-aligned projects, which allows filmmakers to access a range of funding sources that are only available to nonprofits — e.g., tax-deductible donations, foundation grants, cash awards from public and private arts agencies.

Some key features of our fiscal sponsorship program:

Giving is easy. Donors can give via check, credit card, Venmo, Benevity, QuickPay, etc.
Donations to your project and crowdfunding campaign are tax-deductible.
FSF retains no ownership of project and has no creative control over your project.
FSF handles all funds received on behalf of the project.
Pursue equity financing simultaneously.

We provide mission-aligned projects with critical support around grant writing, tax-deductible donations, and crowdfunding. We offer:

Two one-hour consultation sessions to develop a customized fundraising plan for your project
A unique project page on our website, including a customizable donation link
The ability to run your crowdfunding campaign through FSF without paying an additional “platform fee”
Discounts on equipment rentals, software, services, and more.
Competitive administrative fee of 6%
Approved usage of our logo in fundraising campaigns and marketing materials
For Chicago-based projects: post cast and crew calls to Full Spectrum’s network

ELIGIBILITY: We welcome applications from any project that aligns with our mission, including narrative, documentary, and experimental films, web series, TV pilots, music videos, and transmedia projects.

LIMITATIONS: We cannot extend, rent, or loan our insurance policy to your shoot. We cannot offer individualized feedback on essays, budgets, or other grant application materials. We cannot solicit donations on behalf of your project. We cannot promote your campaign to FSF’s social media networks or email lists. We cannot provide producing or production management support for your project.
