SYNOPSIS

A born-from-quarantine film and conversation series from comedic duo Lolo and Wendy (Good Mothers, Dominizuelan) that gets into race, latinidad, social media, and lifelong sisterhood.

Lolo and Wendy are not shy about hustling their artistic careers, even inside of a normalized apocalypse. What they weren’t prepared for were the well-meaning intentions of the “pandemic woke allies,” who would love to offer the women an opportunity to put their identity on display for personal gain. 

The two must navigate this online “sunken place” of toxic good intentions in order to help define what identity means. While the “allies” wield the sword of inclusion, Lolo and Wendy give them a front seat to the lives of two brown girls just trying to make it in America.

WENDY MATEO is a Chicago-based comedian, actor, writer, director, and filmmaker. Wendy can been seen throughout the city's stages (The Lookingglass Theatre, Steppenwolf 1700, The Playground Theater) performing sketch comedy and theater, as well as producing her own content as part of the duo Dominizuelan. The comedy duo can be seen in their own web-series Dominizuelan Consulate co-created with Fred Armisen and Producer/Director Alice Mathias. They just recently made their film debut with Good Mothers an official selection of the HBO New York Latino Film Festival. On your TV you can see Wendy in shows like NBC's Chicago PD and Netflix’s Easy or in movie theaters, in Steve McQueen’s Widows. Wendy is an improviser at heart and loves to create new work through ensemble.

LORENA DIAZ is a Latina actress, best known for her work as Nurse Doris on Dick Wolf's Chicago Med , Chicago Fire and Chicago PD franchise. Lorena is one half of the critically acclaimed comedy duo Lolo and Wendy (FKA Dominizuelan) who teamed

LORENA DIAZ is a Latina actress, best known for her work as Nurse Doris on Dick Wolf's Chicago Med, Chicago Fire and Chicago PD franchise. Lorena is one half of the critically acclaimed comedy duo Lolo and Wendy (FKA Dominizuelan) who teamed up with Fred Armisen and Mas Mejor Productions (a Lorne Michaels project) to co-write and star in the Dominizuelan Consulate, a comedy about two best friends who refuse to work "real jobs" and decide to open up a fake consulate to a fake country. Lorena is also known for her work on Who Gets the Dog, One Night Stand, Bobby and Izza (NBC Pilot competition winners) and is featured in Nicholas Cage's film MOM & DAD.
