SYNOPSIS
Seven to X (Ten) follows the story of a group of Type 1 Americans from all walks of life, banning together through an underground social network, to travel across the border in hopes of affordable insulin. The story documents the highs and lows of both the illegal voyage as well the daily battle to survive with this incurable and life-threatening disease.

SOCIAL IMPACT

ISSUE: Access to affordable insulin.

PROBLEM: Zero transparency from Big Pharma, Patent Abuse, Lawmakers not holding companies accountable, Financial Kickbacks to healthcare professionals.

RESULT: Diabetics pay the ultimate price, rationing insulin and forced to illegally trade or “smuggle” insulin back across the border from Canada and Mexico.

SOLUTION: Congress needs to change the laws and hold the three companies—who control the insulin market—accountable, in order to open the market for affordable competitors.
