Virgin on the Rocks follows freshly 25 year-old Greta, an aspiring poet and all-around late bloomer, who finds herself back living in her childhood home after losing her father a few years prior. Grappling with the lingering grief over her dad, the stress of the upcoming wedding of her best friend, a potentially toxic situationship with a guy she met a party, unresolved feelings for her ex-boyfriend, symbols of the Christian faith she never believed in surreally stalking her at every turn, and the general growing pains of attempting to be something closely resembling an adult-type person, Greta becomes hellbent on finding love and having sex—not necessarily in that order.
